Deane Rundell

A pioneering landscape architect in the Midwest, land planner, and mentor, Deane has led a career that exemplifies integrity and excellence through his design, management skills, and leadership qualities.

Over the past four decades, Mr. Rundell served as principal-in-charge of many significant projects in several states.  Some of these commissions during which Deane served as principal-in-charge include Main Street Square, Rapid City, SD; Campus Martius Park, Detroit, MI; and the Ball State University Master Plan, Muncie, IN.  The firm has completed over 1200 commissions during Deane’s tenure.

Deane has supported the Muncie community through participation in multiple organizations; the American Society of Landscape Architects, Indiana Chapter, through years of service; and has served as faculty and lecturer at universities in Georgia and Indiana.

Founder of Rundell Associates in 1979 and co-founder of Rundell Ernstberger Associates, LLC, in 1983, Mr. Rundell officially retired in 2012.  He now serves the firm as a consulting principal on special projects.
