Jeff Maydak

Mr. Maydak has served as project manager for a variety of REA’s institutional, and park and recreational design projects.  He was the project manager for the City of Mishawaka’s Robert C. Beutter Riverfront Park and the River Center master plan.  He played a key role throughout the design, documentation, bidding and construction phases of the 5.5-acre park.  Work in the park includes a naturally-fed race with decorative weirs, an outdoor performance area, a promenade along the river with cantilevered overlooks, artwork, and gardens.  The popularity of the park served as a catylst for future development and REA’s role expanded to the lead design consultant for the expansion of the city’s adjacent Riverwalk Trail system.  Mr. Maydak was responsible for coordinating key design elements, construction documents and specifications, and served construction administration duties for all three phases of this project along the Saint Joseph River in downtown.  These projects in Mishawaka exceeded $10 million in construction costs.

Mr. Maydak has also been involved in general campus planning and many construction projects at Ball State University.  As project manager, his work has included design development, preparation of construction documents, consultant coordination, construction administration, and LEED documentation for site improvements of several completed projects including: Art and Journalism Building, Music Instruction Building, Honors College, Kinghorn Hall, Student Recreation & Wellness Facility, and the L.A. Pittenger Student Center.  Currently, he is project manager for site improvements of the Studebaker East Residence Hall renovation which is under construction with anticipated completion in May 2012.

Previously, Mr. Maydak produced construction documents and construction administration services for the Allen County Public Library renovation in Fort Wayne and produced construction documents for the Garden Terrace, a 1-acre gathering space for the Madison Center medical campus in South Bend.  He also completed theLittle Turtle Waterway Master Plan Update for the town of Logansport, Indiana, incorporating plans, sketches, estimates and narrative into a comprehensive document.

Prior to joining Rundell Ernstberger Associates, LLC, Mr. Maydak worked as a project manager on a variety of projects in southern California.  His responsibilities included project management, construction documentation, cost estimates, permit processing, and construction observation for $4 million of community parks in the Northpark Community in Irvine, California.  He also served as project manager for several other neighborhood and public parks in Orange County.  Additional projects included an elementary school, regional trail planting and irrigation, community landscape infrastructure, and city and community signage.
