SENIOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT/PROJECT MANAGER
Rundell Ernstberger Associates is an Indianapolis-based urban design and landscape architecture firm with a history of over 38 years providing innovative site planning and design, an award winning regional and national portfolio of transformational placemaking solutions, and reputation for excellence in all forms of design on the land. Our services include landscape architecture, urban design, planning, and civil engineering. Our work includes a wide variety of projects at the local, state, and national level – including civic spaces and public parks, trails and greenways, active/multi-modal transportation, streetscapes and urban design, mixed-use development, campus planning and design, and specialty site design. We are growing our team of talented and dedicated professionals, and we are looking for a Senior Landscape Architect with exceptional project management experience for our Indianapolis office.
This position requires experience managing projects through all stages of project development including master planning, conceptual/schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. Specific responsibilities will include presentations and client meetings, preparation of construction documents, illustrative graphics and technical reports, construction administration, and the management of project schedule and budget, support staff and consultant project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong time management and organizational skills, will be service-oriented, and will able to apply creativity and energy to innovative and unique projects. This position has the opportunity for travel and advancement in the firm.
The successful candidate will be a licensed landscape architect with a minimum of 6-8 years of experience, and have a Bachelors or Master’s Degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program, excellent oral and written communication skills, experience assisting in the production of master planning, site design and site construction documents, and technical competence with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, SketchUp software. A broad knowledge base in landscape architecture and urban design, along with specific knowledge and/or interest in urban spaces and environments, bicycle and pedestrian planning and design, sustainable design, low impact site development, and best management practices are essential components of our work and desirable traits in our employees. The ideal candidate must have a strong commitment to sustainable design and transportation, design for active living, and enjoy working on collaborative and dynamic multidisciplinary teams. LEED Professional credentials are preferred, though not required.
