The end of year and holiday season is a time for generosity and gratitude. In this honor, our staff gathered for an annual studio holiday party for some winter fun. A key part of our celebration is ensuring that others in our community also have a joyful holiday season. Using donations from our staff, we set out in the morning to buy gifts and necessities for three teens sponsored by Home of the Innocents in Louisville and for two families sponsored by the Shepherd Community Center in Indianapolis. Then the REA team returned to the office for a delicious lunch, party games, and celebration of our year-long accomplishments together. With our spirits lifted, we got to work wrapping the donated gifts and preparing them for personal delivery.
This event helps us actively shape our firm’s culture into a proud yet humble collective. Throughout our history, community involvement has been a fixture in our purpose; we take an active role in learning new ways to improve our cities and neighborhoods through projects and volunteerism. Our annual holiday party and year-end celebration gives us an opportunity to give back to the community that we are grateful to be a part of. In every project we do, we strive for equitable access through design and planning decisions, and this season we are doing our part to help provide equitable access to holiday cheer.
