On October 29, the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. will host a public grand opening for the 0.6-mile South Street expansion of the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. This is part of a broader initiative that strengthens connections between the Wholesale and Fountain Square cultural districts and nearby neighborhoods and facilitates access to key sites like Lucas Oil Stadium, establishing it as a vital hub in downtown Indianapolis' greenway network. Improvements include new lighting, gardens, public art, and a maintenance endowment.
