REA Presenting at Indiana ASLA Conference

Join fellow landscape architects and urban designers at this year's Indiana American Society of Landscape Architects Conference at Ball State University on September 13.

Our team will be leading two presentations this year:

Shaping Campus Culture: Four Decades of Transformative Design at Ball State University
Partner and Landscape Architect Kevin Osburn, along with Co-founding Partner Eric Ernstberger, will kick off the conference with a presentation highlighting Ball State's campus evolution over the past four decades. They will share personal stories of shaping a pedestrian-oriented campus, featuring beloved spaces like Frog Baby Fountain, AJ Courtyard, and Shafer Tower, which together create a unique sense of place across the 731-acre campus.

Revitalizing Ball State University's East Mall: From Auto-Centric to Vibrant Campus Green Space
At 10 a.m., Partner and Landscape Architect Cecil Penland will lead a tour of Ball State's new East Mall. This area has been transformed from city streets, parking lots, and service zones into a vibrant, pedestrian-oriented green space. The walking tour will cover the decade-long planning process, interdisciplinary coordination, and phased implementation that made this transformation possible.
