The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department to host the Grand Opening of Switchyard Park on November 16-17, a two-day celebration filled with interactive family activities, food trucks and live music.
The 57-acre former railroad property is the largest park project in Bloomington’s history. The park is designed to be the epicenter of community engagement for the City, complete with the following features: pavilion, performance stage and amphitheater, skatepark, community gardens, fitness stations, basketball/pickleball/bocce ball courts, splash pad, playground, bosque and picnic shelter.
