Earlier this week, we celebrated the groundbreaking for the next phase of improvements at Tarkington Park! Thanks to a generous $3 million grant from the Lilly Endowment, the park will soon feature a new youth multi-sports field dedicated to Richard “Coach Nell” Hamilton — an inspiring community advocate and youth football coach. Additional enhancements include 70+ native hardwood trees, new walking pathways, four pickleball courts, a tennis court, and a new playscape, supported by an additional Butler University/Lilly Endowment grant. We’re proud to continue leading the design efforts for Tarkington Park and to build on nearly 15 years of shaping this community space!
